The Threadies Story
The Early Days
It all started in the early 2000s with a simple passion for designing. From designing websites, to making band t-shirts for local artists and event shirts for schools in my hometown—it was more than just a hobby. It was about bringing ideas to life and seeing people wear something meaningful.
What began as a creative outlet quickly evolved into paid contracts, opening doors to a career in design and software. The foundation was set, combining creative vision with technical execution. Those early days taught me the importance of quality, attention to detail, and understanding what people truly want to wear.
Little did I know, those experiences would eventually lead to something much bigger—a brand dedicated to celebrating the professionals in healthcare.
From Band Tees To Healthcare Apparel
For nearly two decades, my career took a different turn—focusing primarily on software engineering. The creative spark for designing apparel took a back seat, appearing only occasionally as a pastime and for family and friends. But some passions never truly fade; they just wait for the right moment to reignite.
That moment came when my wife asked me to design a shirt for her work in healthcare. I created something special for her, got it printed, and thought that would be the end of it. But then something unexpected happened—everyone at her workplace started asking where she got it.
What started as one shirt for my wife quickly turned into paid contracts with local hospitals. That's when it hit me: there was a real need for unique, inspiring apparel that healthcare professionals would be proud to wear, and that's when Threadies was born.

Today, Threadies represents everything I've learned over two decades in design and software, combined with a genuine passion for designing and creating apparel that means something. We're not just making t-shirts—we're celebrating the incredible people who work in healthcare.
